Saturday 8th June saw our wonderful Community Fair and a marvellous collective team effort!
A big thank you to the Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, their parents and Guiders and all the St Andrew’s folk who so generously gave their time.
It was truly uplifting to see all our organisational networking and smiling and the local children happily enjoying the animals and stalls. Their excitement was palpable. The church, hall and grounds were full once more.

What a glorious thing it was to be a visitor to the Summer Fair in June.
To be welcomed by the family of the beautiful brown, barn and baby owls on one side and the charming faces of friendly llama babies on the other, a brilliant choice of ‘meeters and greeters’.
Sue and a colourful plant stall, children’s games, hook a duck, ice cream cart and pizza van, outside attractions that drew you in to the church and hall.
With eyes on stalks and looking left, right, and forward it was easy for me to choose a plateful of a naughty but nice selection of strawberry cream tarts, cakes, scones and fancies to have with tea and coffee.
Having a flutter on hamper or luxury prize raffle, tombolas, and sweeties, children running everywhere, conversation buzzing, laughing, and visiting the many varied stalls of crafts, toys, clothes and jewellery in the hall. Families and friends, making new friends.
Quiet corners of Awareness of Copperfeel, Michelle our Asda champion – Asda Foundation, Girl Guiding providing expert advice and new friends and contacts made.
There was a lovely garden party atmosphere, orchestrated by Natalie, Evelyn and their team of Rangers, Guides, Brownies, and Rainbows liaising with Elaine, a wise Brown Owl, and our very own church family helping out on all the stalls. Just like the old days!
Gathering community together for a fun event takes much planning, preparation and parents! Thank you for inviting us all to enjoy a brilliant day.
There are some lovely photos to remember the event and we are very grateful to Natalie and Evelyn for transferring £684.20 into the church account.
We are ‘being with’ and ‘walking beside’ our Community.
God bless and thank you all.
